Here are some questions to have answered:

  • What are their hours and availability? Are they flexible to your schedule?
  • Are they local to your area or based in another state?
  • Do they have proper experience and training? What type of training and where?
  • Do they have reliable and verifiable inspection references?
  • Are they licensed and insured? How much and what type of insurance and is it current?
  • What type of equipment do they use during the inspection?
  • What type of sampling is performed and how many samples are included in the price quote?
  • How much are additional samples?
  • When will the lab results and reports be available?
  • Do they generate a report with the findings and any recommendations? If so, what mold guidelines do they adhere to?
  • Which laboratory will they use? Local or in another state? And is the lab accredited by the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP)
